OSU Pre-Veterinary Medical Association

Our purpose, as stated in our Official Constitution is "to provide an opportunity through which interested students may meet, explore, and gain knowledge of the field of veterinary medicine", and "develop closer ties of fellowship through a social atmosphere among students interested in veterinary medicine." To accomplish these goals, the Pre-Vet Club holds bi-monthly general meetings. These meetings include a brief period of club business and announcements, followed by a program relating to the practice of veterinary medicine, or admission to the College of Veterinary Medicine. This includes speakers from a wide range of areas in the profession, with topics such as companion animal/large animal case studies, shelter and zoo medicine, wildlife, and more. 

Membership is open to The Ohio State University students. General body meetings are every other Wednesday at 7:00 pm at the the Ohio Staters, Inc. Traditions Room in the Ohio Union. Club dues are $11.00 per semester, or $20.00 per year, due October 9th. You can send your Venmo payments to @aalbers17. You must add your first name, last name.#, and your phone number in the subject line. Please do not add "Personal Protection" since this charges an additional fee. The last four digits of Aidan’s phone number are 6467. If you are unable to pay via Venmo, please contact Aidan (albers.193@osu.edu) to pay with cash or check.

In addition to regular meetings, the club hosts social events, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities to provide practical experience in veterinary medicine and foster a social atmosphere between Pre-Vet students.
